Dear Colleagues,
It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 48th International Participation SOLUNUM 2026 Congress, organized by the Turkish Respiratory Research Association (TRS), to be held on November 4–8, 2026, at Pine Beach Hotel, Belek, Antalya.
The scientific journey that began with humanity’s effort to understand nature has continuously evolved with each new discovery. The observational spirit of traditional medicine has merged with the precision of laboratory science; today, we have reached a new era where data grows at an unprecedented pace and technology increasingly guides clinical decision-making. In this dynamic period, where clinical practice is constantly being redefined, our congress is built around a theme at the very heart of this transformation: “Changing Information, Evolving Approaches.”
At the center of the information age, the field of respiratory medicine is both expanding its boundaries and undergoing rapid transformation. We recognize that protecting lung health requires a holistic understanding of all components of health. With this awareness, we continue to pursue the most accurate knowledge under the principle of “Science for Breath”, while advocating life with the motto “Health for All.” Through our congress, we aim to address evolving and transforming approaches in lung health from a comprehensive perspective and take another step toward our goal of health for all. We would be delighted to have you with us at this important gathering.
The congress will begin with pre-congress courses on November 4, 2026, followed by the main scientific program running throughout the day between November 5–8, 2026. Our courses, an essential component of continuing medical education, are designed to capture the dynamic nature of knowledge, strengthen clinical practice with up-to-date evidence, and improve patient care quality. In our main scientific program, there will be panels and update sessions where new technologies in the field of respiratory diseases and novel approaches guided by current guidelines will be discussed, along with multidisciplinary sessions and interactive case discussions. The program will be further enriched with workshops and Fast–Rational–Practical (FRP) sessions focusing on content that directly impacts daily clinical practice. As in previous years, we will also have the opportunity to listen to distinguished international speakers during joint scientific sessions organized in collaboration with international societies such as ERS, CHEST, and WABIP.
We will also have the opportunity to review and discuss your valuable scientific contributions through editor’s desk sessions, oral and poster presentations, and case council discussions. We would like to remind you that, in addition to the “Prof. Dr. Meliha Terzioğlu Scientific Award,” several awards in different categories will be presented for submitted scientific studies.
We believe that one of the most valuable aspects of our scientific journey is the unique atmosphere of friendship we share during this annual gathering. This year, alongside our scientific program, we have prepared a distinctive social program that will allow us to reconnect and experience the energy of professional solidarity and friendship.
We invite you to come together under the roof of SOLUNUM 2026 to better understand change together and to help shape the transformation in respiratory health... Your contributions will be invaluable as we take each step toward a healthier future guided by science.
Sincerely,
Scientific Committee Chair
